I couldn’t resist capturing this photo in Oils. The Babe Bows Out won a Pulitzer Prize for Nat Fein, the only sports related photograph to win the Pulitzer. The field was swarming with photographers, when Fein took the rear-angled composition that effectively captured the significance of the 25th anniversary of Yankee stadium, of the retired number and uniform and stooping unmistakable figure of sick Babe Ruth. Fein’s photograph is featured in the Smithsonian Institute and the National Baseball Hall of Fame, besides the immortal uniform.

Kathie Camara is well known for her commissioned oil and acrylic portraits, animal art and seascapes and for teaching child and adult art classes locally. She has won a number of awards and ribbons for exhibiting her artwork at local galleries and recently won an award in Martin F. Weber's International People, Pets and Portraits online contest. Her art is enjoyed by collectors both across the United States and Internationally. Another of Camara's passions is fine art glass work, also known as "warm glass". Her technique involves several layers of cut glass that are fused together at very high temperatures in a glass kiln to form beautiful jewelry and artwork.
