After seeing Johnny Depp in The Lone Ranger, I just had to paint this. As Johnny said, Tonto's got a bird on his head. It is his spirit guide in a way. It is dead to others, but it is not dead to him. It is very much alive.
Kathie Camara is well known for her commissioned oil and acrylic portraits, animal art and seascapes and for teaching child and adult art classes locally. She has won a number of awards and ribbons for exhibiting her artwork at local galleries and recently won an award in Martin F. Weber's International People, Pets and Portraits online contest.
